Driftboat
I built this 19’ traditional driftboat as a gift for a dear friend who lives in Gallatin Gateway Montana. He was kind enough to take me fly fishing, where I experienced the two types of boats plying the river: functional but bland, and elegant but fragile.
I tried to take the best attributes from both and arrive at something that would be both sensibly durable and a treat for the senses. He thinks it’s too nice to use, so I probably should have made it uglier.
